Matlock, sixth grade teacher at Melver school, Greensboro, died of pneumonia at Piedmont Memorial hos pital in Greensboro, March 5, 1938. Mr. Matlock won from Guilford College in 1926 the T. Wistar Brown scholarship of the gradute school of Harvard, did graduate work at the University of North Carolina and obtained his mas ter's degree from Woman's college. He has been in the teaching profession since that time. He was active in the associations concerning his profession as well as community activities.
