33rd Summer Session - - June sth to August sth, 1950
The Guilford College campus is particularly lovely in the summer. The century-old oaks provide an abun
dance of shade. The nearly three hundred acres of rolling hills, largely wooded, provide opportunities for
good hiking. Tennis and badminton courts, the archery range, and diamonds for baseball and softball pro
vide for recreation. The weather is generally mild with cool evenings and nights.
Freshmen may begin their college education in an atmosphere of quiet and peaceful surroundings without the
usual busy period of the opening of college in the fall. Mathematics 13-14 and Natural Science 11 are offered
for their benefit.
