Revelers Elect
President
Sydney -Thompson was elected
president of the Revelers Club by
the council. Sydney is a junior
from Wayne, Pa. Last year she ap
peared in "Night Must Fall" and
"All's Well That Ends Well." The
vacancy occurred when Andy
Hughes failed to return this semes
ter.
The Cotrflcil also decided to pre
sent a chapel play, "The Constant
Lover," by Sr. John Hankin.

The 32nd annual session of the
Northwestern District of the North
Carolina Educa ion Association
will meet in High Point on Friday,
October 8, 1954. Miss Mildred Mar
lette is Chairman and Mr. Harold
Bailey, Vice-Chairman of the Di
vision of Higher Education, which
will hold a luncheon meeting at the
Y. Dr. E. G. Purdom will speak on
"Application of Mathematics in
the Field of Science" at the meet
ing of the Department of Mathe
matics, and Dr. Muriel D. Tomlin
son will speak on her experiences
as an exchange teacher in Ghent,
Belgium, at the meeting of the De
partment of Modern Languages.
