C. Evie Cline, '56, was soloist and Bootsie Crow, '57, was maid of honor. Several Guilford students attended the wedding. Wilson is a student at UNC and Anne plans to join him there at the end of first semester. Kay Winslow, 'SB, was married to Jack Booze, of King, N. C. on December 18, 1955. The wedding took place in the Rural Hall Me thodist Church, Rural Hall, N. C. at four-thirty. Wenda Hodgin, 'SB was soloist. Kay and Jack will make their home in Rural Hal! after the first of February. On December 27, 1955, Dot Pleasant, '56, of Thomasville oe came engaged to Lovelace Bell, '57, of Goldsboro. They plan to be married sometime next winter. Margaret Tremain, '57, ot Alex andria, Va., became engaged to Vance White, ! 57, of Bethel, on December 27, 1955. No definite wedding plans have been made. Janet Glover, 'SB, became en gaged to Roy Bumpass during the Christmas holidays. Both Janet and Roy are from Greensboro. No definite wedding plans have been made. Lunda Hobson, '59, of East Bend is engaged to Thomas Honey cutl of Winston-Salem. Tommy is a student at Wake Forrest. They have not yet made any definite wedding plans. Glub /Jotlaitled. The History Club heard Burke Davis, author and jornalist, speak on how to write a historical novel at their meeting on January 7th. The club was organized just this year for history majors and has about forty members. Chick Traf ford is president and Dr. Burrows and Dr. Ntfwlin act as sponsors. On Sunday night, December 11, members of the F. T. A. were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey at a buffet supper given in the Bailey home. After the meal, a report was made by the nominating commit tee. The members then voted on the candidates named for presi dent and Vice-president. Officers elected were Ruby Sheffield, pre sident, and Merle Shelton, Vice president. Immediately following the bus iness session, Evelyn Cline, ac companied by Ann Cox, sang "Sweet little Jesus Boy" and "Have Yourself a Merry, Merry Christmas". The feature of the evening was Dr. Tomlinson's review of Virgin ia Gildersleeve's Many a Good Crusade, an autobiography telling of Miss Gildersleeves work as Dean of Barnard College.
