CHOIR TO PRESENT ANNUAL
MESSIAH IN DECEMBER
One of the most lasting pieces
of music in common use today is
Handel's Messiah. The oratorio
has been heard repeatedly, year
after year, for more than two
centuries, and has been able to
survive the extraordinary changes
that have taken place in the mus
ical scene during this time and
yet maintain its essential expres
sion as a unified, intelligible ex
pression.
