Recycling Finale
On Saturday, April 21,
the Biophile Club plans to
completely clean out its
recycling collection center in
the basement of Cox Hall.
Therefore, it is necessary to
close down all collection
centers now operating on
campus in the dormitories and
administration buildings.
Volunteers are asked to
remove all paper, bottles and
cans by Wednesday, April 18.
The Biophile Club will not be
responsible for any material
that collects in these places
after this date.
Anyone interested in
helping the Biophile Club in
its year-end cleaning is asked
to meet at the basement of
Cox Hall on Saturday at 8:00
in the morning. It has been
rumored the day's activities
will prove to be enjoyable for
all of those involved.
The Biophile Club also
wishes to take this time to
thank all students and faculty
members who have conscien
tiously taken advantage of our
campus recycling services.
We hope to continue such
services next year based on
this response.

The raid evidently came
after extensive undercover
work by police. According to
several reports the police
completely surrounded Milner
between 2 and 4 a.m., then
calmly went around collecting
wanted. Ray
Moody, head resident of
Milner, was contacted as a
courtesy but by then the die
had been cast. All members of
the Guilford Administration
deny prior knowledge of the
bust and in an interview
Tuesday afternoon. Dean
Gottschall stressed that the

When the police come on

Rule Clarification
From S.A.C.
Because the
PATHFINDER has not been
completely reprinted in the
last two years, the Trustees'
policy change regarding the
use of beverage alcohol has
not been easily accessible to
us in print. We would like to
call the attention of everyone
to the specific provisions of
the Trustees' policy.
Beverage alcohol may
be used only in one's private
room within the residence
hall. Its use elsewhere on
campus is in violation of both
North Carolina state law and
of the Trustees' policy. Putting
the beverage in an unmarked
container, e.g.. papercup. is
illegal also for the restriction
is on the use of the alcohol in
all but the one authorized
location.
The Student Affairs
Committee would urge
everyone to read the Quaker
Testimony regarding alcoholic
beverages which is printed in
the PATHFINDER We solicit
a sensitive awareness of the
testimony.
Appalachian Seminar
Students in Sociology
and other related fields in
terested in the study of Ap
palachia are invited to meet
with Bob Johnson and Andy
Gottschall to plan an off
campus seminar for the Fall of
1973.
The first organizing
meeting will be held in the
small dining room of the
College Dining Hall on
Tuesday. April 17 at 12:00
noon.
Areas of study already
considered as possibilities are
those that deal with the
human and environmental
effects of strip mining, the
nature of the institutions of
the region which encompass
the family, religion, education,
social services, health,
economics and politics.
