Peace: inner serenity, social cohesion, an equitable economy; the word is preg nant with meaning for our lives. These thoughts were expressed among several students and faculty who sat quietly together last Thursday and began to center in on our commitment to this shared concern. In more specific terms: -What can on person do in the face of so many institu tionalized social evils? -Is disarmament a desirable goal? An obtainable one? -Is the U.F.W. boycott of Gallo still going? What of migrant workers in North Carolina? -How do sexism and racism relate to violence? -Is inner conflict creative or destructive? How can we best express it? The emerging group will meet again this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Dana Lounge to discuss these and other topics of contemporary dialogue to further our understanding of ourselves in relationship to the world.
