Tickets are available for Guilford
students to the following UNC-G
Concerts Series events at the
Information Desk, Founders Hall
between 8:30-5:00 Mon.-Fri. Tokyo
String Quartet Tues., Feb. 13, free,
and Choral Concert, Sun.. Feb. 18,
free.
On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Geology
Department will host a visitor.
Dr. Paul Fullagar will speak at two
meetings; one a Departmental
Seminar, at 4:30 p.m. in King 122,
to be followed at 5:30 by supper in
the small dining room of the cafeter
ia. His topic at the 4:30 meeting
will be "Applications of Geochron
ology to the unraveling of the history
of Souther Appalachians." At
7:25, also in King 122, Dr. Fullagar
will lecture on the general subject
of Geologic Time for the
Historical Geology class. All are
welcome for any or all of this
program.
Poet Tom Heffernan, whose next
book is being published in Ireland
as well as the U.S. will read his
poems on Wed., Feb. 21 at 7:30
in Dana Lounge. He will also
meet Ann Deagon's Poetry Work
shop in the library fine arts room
6:00-7:15 pjn. for a craft interview.
Everyone is welcome to attend both
sessions.

Guilford County Advisory Board
on Environmental Quality in the
near future and work with them to
get regulations for radioactive
material transportation passed by
the Guilford County government.
The next PIRG meeting, will be
held Wednesday Feb. 14 at 8:00
p.m. on the second floor of Founders.
Students will discuss plans for
continuing work on current projects
as well as initiating new ones. If
students would like to work on a
project, or just see what PIRG is
all about, come to the meeting Wed
nesday night.
Energy Awareness will sponsor a
tour of the Catawba Nuclear Power
Station on Wed., Feb. 14. This will
be limited to fifteen people. See
Richard Fulton or other E.A.
members if interested.
FILM CANCELLED: The film You
Only Live Twice scheduled for
Friday, Feb. 16, has been cancelled
due to scheduling problems.

The office of Computer Services
wishes to remind the Guilford
College community that game play
ing on academic terminals in
Founders Hall is a lower priority
activity than student class assign
ments. The academic terminals
were placed in Founders for the use
of Guilford students and are to be
used by other members of the
college community only when
students are not using them.
GAME PLAYERS MUST YIELD
THEIR TERMINALS TO
STUDENTS WITH CLASS
ASSIGNMENTS.
There will be a meeting of the
Summer School in Greece and Italy
on Feb. 15 at 4:00 p.m. in the
Gallery. Slides will be shown
and refreshments served. If you are
interested or planning to go please

The Biophile Club is holding a
community recycling drive on
Sat., Feb. 17, from 9:30 a.m. -1:00
p.m. The drivt will take place
behind Bryan in the maintenance
parking area. Please bring all your
aluminum cans and newsoaoers.
