Speaking of the intricacies of combining a career and family, Bengel seems assured of her ability to handle the two simultaneously, though, "It's often tricky to work out." Teaching is no novelty for Bengel who has taught part time here for eight years. Initially hired in 1972, to teach at Guilford's now relocated downtown division, she has also instructed classes at Greens (lomg player J LIST ' lu*siau ; . Bengel sees abounding evi dence of the Quaker influence upon the general orientation of Guilford. "I'm an ardent sup porter of the Quaker method and philosophy. I've also no ticed unusually close relation ships between students and faculty."
