major face-lift this year, turning
the weekend outdoor concert
into a week-long, multi
faceted celebration.

hopes to attract not only stu
dents, but also faculty mem
bers, administrators, and stu

by the Revelers this week from
Thursday, February 21, through
Sunday, February 24. Showtime
is at 8:15 p.m. in Sternberger

filling an entire week with

every group on campus, from
the choir, to the P.E. Majors
Club to the Guilford College
Women.

hope that by spreading activi
ties all over the campus and all
throughout the week, they can
really make Serendipity great --
complete with opening cere
monies and all the trappings.

Homeward Angel, Thomas
Wolfe, was a native North
Carolinian. He was born in
Asheville, on October 3, 1900.
In 1916, he entered the
University of North Carolina at

Chapel Hill. There Wolfe took
part in many campus activities
and gained a record of student
honors and achievements.
In 1929, Look Homeward
Angel was published and years
later the play was presented at
UNC-C. In fact, the Revelers
were able to obtain the original
angel used in that historic
production at UNC-C.
Much of Wolfe's work is
considered to be autobiographi
cal to a large extent. One can
gain somewhat of an insight to
Wolfe from Lookward Home
ward Angel, where Wolfe is

"We're also excited about
the fact that Guilford has a new
president; we want to work
closely with him," Earl said.
"He's got to be a part of what's
going on with the students."
Jim Henninger, the candidate
for Union President, feels that
his talent tickets best qualifica
tion is that they work well
together. Henninger has two
years of Union experience, and
is currently co-chairman of the
Coffeehouse Committee.
One change that he would
like to see is the re-establish
ment of the Fine Arts and
Lecture Committee, a group
that would be responsible for
talks similar to that given by
Jerry Rubin in November of last
year But he foresees no other
major shake-ups right now.
Henninger would like to make
the Union more cohesive "It's
happening right now," but I
would like to have the Union
work much more closely toge
ther."
