Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be rising juniors and seniors and must be full time students; 2. Must be majoring in the field of education or taking courses leading to a career in teaching; 3. Must be residents of Mecklenburg County, N.C. * 4. Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better. Scholarships will range form sl,oooto $3,500 at the discretion of the William Tasse Alexander Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are designated only for tuition/fees and room/board. Scholarships are for one year only but renewal is possible if satisfactory perform ance is maintained.
