Margaret Whitaker will have as her guest Frances Venable, This is a warning for you all to be presentable! Clara Pope, in her Sunday best. Has gone home for a little rest. Jane Noble will no more be seen in chapel. For now she lives with her brother and in alcoves doesn’t dapple! It takes a lot to make Lois Haymore visit us even for a day out of a week. But she came a-flyin’ when Helen Pugh displayed her wonderful techneque! Bernice Linville, an ex.member of 24, Came to visit this school which we all adore. L’il Catty Armstrong has gone to the dances at Davidson, they say— I just wonder if Cupid’s going to have a busy time this Valentine Day! Gertrude Heiner has gone home; Twixt here and there she likes to roam. EXAMINATIONS. Examinations are over, we trembled with fear; For we were only green Freshmen, with no mother near. We had History, English, Latin, and Math, With Chemistry and Bible still in our path. We’re not very brilliant, with studies so hard; But the road to knowledge to us is not barred. I Lenoir College was honored by aj short visit from Dr. Voight, Dean of| the Lutheran Theological Seminary at | Columbia in the first few days of this week. While here Dr. Voight deliv ered three addresses, Sunday morning to the Diakonian Club, St. Andrews Congregation and Monday morning to the student body at chapel exercises. FROM CHARLOTTE. Charlotte, N. C.—The Y. W. C. A. entertained the student body at a Valentine Party on Saturday evening, February 11th. The Valentine deco rations were used and many novel games were played. The Y. W. C. A. always entertains the boarders several times each year and this was the an nual spring entertainment. The party was in every way a big success. ORAL QUIZ ON JUNIOROLOGY PROF.
