The hockey season is now beginning to get fully under way, and by Wednesday of next week, class games will begin. It may look plen ty efxeiting to see a football team like Duke’s or Carolina’s go march ing down the field to roll up a score, but it’s also exciting to watch a fast end furious game of sticks and balls known as hockey. Here’s a note to class managers, too. It’s a wise idea to get a team lined up and out for scfveral group practices, ’cause, believe you me, these Frosh are good—but good. Again let me remind the freshmen that tennis tournament in mid-No vember tend to be a bit chilly. HORSE LOVERS Here is your opportunity to learn more about the care, the types, and the breeding of horses and enjoy yourself at the same time. George, the camp dog, seem ed to be the least embarrassed of any, for he mingled freely with both sides. Salem girls having dealt with the lack of sufficient men be fore, we eventually started a girl- break, and the ice was soon broken and the dance in full swing, both boys and girls breaking. Every time the nickelodeon played a fast piece, the floor was cleared for the belle of the ball, Mary Lew is, and her partner from Washington, D. 0. She realy can “cut a rug.” And she always told us she couldn’t jitterbug. Shame! Practically every girl would go out .during the evening with a sol dier, coming back in a few minutes with her face beaming and a gleam of conquest in her eye. Nope, it’s not what you think. She had just been to the P. X. and gotten several of the practically extinct Hershey bars. From the comments of >he boys at the end of the dance and the hub bub in Senior until the wee hours, everyone had fun; and the next time promises to be even better. -^NEW STUDENTS— I Music of All Publishers M ■ I I Columbia Masterwork | = Recordings I H Musical Merchandise B I • I I Brodt-Separk Music Co. | I 503 W. 4th St.—Phone 3-2241 | llllHIIIIHIIIHIIIiailinilljHiBIIIHiillHIIIBIIIIBIIIli (Continued from Page One.)
