Plans For Year
Are Announced
The present and future of Salem
Academy and College were emphasiz
ed by Dr. Eondthaler and Mr. Wein-
land in assembly Thursday when
Mr. Weinland announced definite
plans for tlie l75th Anniversary
of the joint institutions.
The wonderf^il thing, as explain
ed by Dr. Eondthaler, is not that
this institution is 175 years old, but
that the doors of the institution have
not been closed or classes suspended
for a single day during the 175
years. The president closed by say
ing that this is not *. year of anti
quity, but of courage, faith, and
loyalty, a year of recognition, vision,
and above all of hearts. i
