Juniors Trounce Seniors; Sophs Win Over Juniors ‘ By Jean Sullivan The sophomores defeated the juniors 20-18 in the second game of the basketball season Tuesday night. The fi'fst quluter was a warming-up period. Little action was shown by either team, and at the end of the quarter the Juniors had their only lend, 4-3. The second quarter was the sophomore’s field day. Seville, Gleason, and Lanon brought the score up to 14; while Mills and Carothers got the Junior score up! to 9. Mollio Darr also did some outstanding playing. The second half was slower than the first. Both teams were constantly scrambling for the ball, but when they tried to shoot, it was of no avail. There were exceptions, how ever, for Watkins and Gleason made three good baskets in the third quarter. Isabel Leeper, junior guard showed hard play during the whole game. The Juniors topped the Seniors Thursday night in the third, basket ball game of the season by the narrow score of 27-2.^. The Juniors stayed a few points ahead all dur ing the game. The high scorer for the Juniors was Ann Mills who made 17 points and for the Seniors was Betsy John Forrest who scored 8 points. Leeper and Quinerly were the outstanding guards.
