W.R.A., which stands for Women’s Recreational Association, had its first major meeting on Wednesday regarding the reopening of the Student Center. The number one point stressed at the meeting was the fact that W.R.A. can not handle this task themselves and never have admitted being able to. The club feels that Salem needs a place on campus to bring dates and have a chance to relax and meet people. At the meeting Wednesday, the following suggestions were proposed: 1) Members from different clubs and organizations on campus may participate in running it. Each club will monitarily benefit from working. 2) Entertainment will be provided by many of our talented Salem students. 3) Activities include: game machines, juke box, backgammon, cards, bingo, pool, etc At the end of this year we will take a census to find how many people will support it. If we get it to work the first few months of school and prove it will work, the Salem Administration will also support us and we then can work on remodeling and obtaining a beer license. W.R.A. needs your ideas, please support W.R.A. and the Student Center.
