Features page 5 'Twas the Night Before Exams by Katherine Livermon, Jessica and Kim Lynch 'Twas the night before exams and all through the dorms everyone was smoking themselves up a storm. The stage had been set for one final test, in hopes that we all would y do our test, * '!/ The teachers were resting all calm in their beds, while visions of flunking danced through our heads. HmppjT Hotidmys "Cheap" Gifts rj Pr/jyilfUn ^ - 'l\ With friends in pajammas and 1 in my sweats, we had just settled down to review old tests. v| I* When out on the square there arose such a clatter, there came public ^ safety to see what was the matter, I jumped from my desk as quick as a flash, to give Mr. Dominoes the rest of my cash. And what do I find but my worst fear, 'twas eight more chapters that s did suddenly appear. II With a large book so heavy and thick, I knew at a glance I was about to get sick. More info than I could possibly retain the figures and facts were crowding my brain ^ Come Stats, come Math, come English, come History, on Psych, on Soc, On French and Spanish, So back to the desk at the end of the hall, to hell with the studying, I'm through with it all. To the nearest bar I went to have a stiff drink to clear my mind so maybe I could think. Then in my mind I had an idea to light up a smoke and have another beer, I came back to school for one more try, took one look at my books and started to cry, I sprang to my bed without a minute to lose, taking with me those pre-exam blues, I had one last thought as I drifted off to sleep, I had a "B" in that class that I hoped I could keep.
