Dewey Fesperman, for the past year Senior Warden of Stan ly Lodge No. 348, was formally installed as Master of the lodge in impressive ceremonies on Fri day night, December 16. Other officers include; Ray mond C. Barker, senior warden; Ernest G. Plyler, junior warden; David C. Lockwood, senior deac on; William H. Burbage, junior deacon; Joe L. Earnhardt, trea surer; Roy Whitley, secretary; Ray B. Crisco, senior steward; Reuben B. Lowder, junior stew ard, and Tyler, H. Jack Fesper man. Bro. James B. Bone of Seagrove, D. D. G. M., and characterized by the Grand Master as one of the best in North Carolina, again proved his willingness to work with lodges in his district when he came over and conducted the installation ceremonies. He was ably assisted by Bro. S. L. Gul- ledge. Past Master of Stanly Lodge, who acted as marshall. The charge of Bro. Bone was very impressive. He told the members of the lodge that they had exercised diligent care in the (Continued on Page 5, Col. 2) Norwood Masons Select Laton As '56 Master Norwood.—Pee Dee Lodge No. 150, A. F. & A. M., held its annual electioin of officers at a stated communication held on Thursday night, December 1. Luther Laton, for several years a faithful member of the fratern ity, was elected as Master for 1956. Charlie Thompson was elected as senior warden, C. J. Clayton as junior warden, J. L. Lee as treasurer, and J. C. Guffey as secretary. These officers, along with the following appointed officers, were (Continued on Page 5, Col. 3) W. C. Flake New Master Yadkin Falls Lodge Badin. — Bro. W. C. Flake, a valued member and for the past year Senior Warden of Yadkin Falls Lodge, was formally instal led as Master on Monday night, December 19. An excellent at tendance was present, and this proved to be one of the most in spiring nights of the year. All other elected and appoint ed officers were installed at this time. The annual election of officers was held on Monday night, De cember 8, with Past Masters night being observed in connection with the stated communication. A total (Continued On Page 6 Col. 3) Bro. Ray B. Clark Of Yadkin Falls Dies Suddenly Badin — Yadkin Falls Lodge members and hundreds of other friends over Stanly county were saddened by the news that Bro. Ray B. Clark for many years a valued member of our lodge, had died suddenly on the morning of December 16, 1955. Masonic rites were conducted Sunday afternoon, December 18, at Central Methodist church in Albemarle at 3 o’clock with the pastor. Rev. D. Moody Nifong, of ficiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery in Albemarle. At the service Sunday after noon, the church choir sang “Abide With Me,” and Sam W. (Continued on Page 6 Col. 1) Albemarle Lodge U.D. To Hold Meeting Dec. 26 Albemarle Lodge U. D. will hold its last stated communication of the year on Monday night, De cember 26. As this is the night after Christmas, it will require some devotion to the craft to be present, but the Master, Bro. Sam Barrier, and the wardens are issu ing a special invitation to all the members to be present. “I am deeply gratified at the attendance we have been having during the somewhat trying days of our organization,” Bro. Barrier said. “It proves to me that a sin cere interest in Masonry is be hind the movement that resulted in a new lodge being formed.
