January 1941 ROBERT GRIFFIN ENJOYING COLLEGE LIFE Atlantic Christian Colli^ge Wilson, North Carolina Dear Mr, Editor, I am very glad to have the op portunity to write a letter to be published in the school paper. I saw last month’s issue and thought it to be exceedinjly good, I am a sophomore at Atlantic Christian College and at the pre sent I am taking sixteen semes tor hours of work. These courses are Spanish, geography, history,chanis- try, psychology, and physical edu cation. These are the courses a student takes who plans to get an A/b, degree. In the four years in college you will make friendships that will mean a great daal to you. We havo twenty-two organizations on the campus, a few of which are three fraternities,three sororities, Y.M.C.A.,Y,W.C.A., InternationalTte- lationship Club, Gloo Club,and etc. Of course you cannot be a member of all of these, but you can choose the ones yoTi like, I am a member of a fraternity. International Relation ship Club, and Y.M.C.A. Our school is a denominational school; therefore most all of the students participate in some re — ligious activity. Wo havo five other students here from Bailoy besides myself,They are getting along fine, and I hope to see some more from Bailey next year. Sincerely yours, Robert Griffin F.F.A. EARNS MONEY Various means of raising money has been adopted this year by the Bailey F. P. A. Chapter to secure money for needed equipment in shop work. Already the chapter has pro moted a f;:,ir exhibit at Rocky Mount, sponsored a radio ■'personality show, sold drinks and candy at ball games, and sold garden seeds. Plans for the future include a' refreehment stand at the F, F. A. tournament and another radio ’oersonality show. Activities to date have netted $36.
