On a good will tour in behalf of
the Gold Leaf Tournament the Wen-
edll High School Band gave a thirty
minute program in the Bailey audi
torium February 6 at 11:30 A,, M,
The band under the direction of Mrc
I^ott, band leader, played princi
pally famous band numberfs „Mr ^ Itoatt
in inviting all to tho tournfment,
February 12--15, praised the Bailay
teams for their piayinn in past tau:’-'
naments , saying he boiievod that
Bailey had won more trophies than
any other team pr,rticipating. He
further added that Wendell always
looked forward to seeing Bailey en
ter the tournament- bo cause tho crowd
was assured of a good sportsmanlike^
hard fought game.

Each Friday morning at the third
period finds a student broadcasting
the nows of the week to the hlg h
school student body over the school
radio system. On February 14 Nor
man Patterson announced at the opet>—
ing of tho program that the broad -
cast was to be a quiz concerning im
portant .people nnd places that had
been in the spotlight--over the ra
dio and in tlie nev/spaper--in t ■ w l.ast
two weeks.
