KOOFAHS
Koofahs are round basket like
boats. They are very large. The
koofahs are made from asphalt and
willov/ reeds. The asphalt comes
from springs found near the Tigris
and Euphrates Rivers, Some koofahs
are large enoiigh to carry several
horses and men.

Wg are studying butterflies in
I our room. Wo noticed them out
side our v;indow and decided v/e
would catch all wo could and make
a study of them. ”/e have framed
some of different sizes and colors,
and have dravm some free hand ores
also,
V/e have found that there '.are
many different kinds of butter
flies* Those most commonly fo und
around hero are the Black Swallow
tail, Tiger Sv/allowtail, Viceroy,
and Spanglod Fritillary,
Vi'o have learned the different
stages in the life of a butterfly.
V/e have also found out the main
differences between butterflies
and moths,' Ovir room is enjoying
this study, and v/e are sure you
ViTould too.
