September,1941 Page 16 PRIMAKY DEPARTMENT ENROLLMENT Our enrollment at the end of the first two weeks in the primary de partment was one hundred and sixty- three . We urge the parents to do all they can to improve the attendence in order that we may gain another teacher. This will enable us to do away with some of the combination grades• BEGINNERS It is quite interesting to watch the little tots during the first few week of school. Some are very eager and anxious to start while others, however, become very nervous and excited. They come to school with tears in their eyes and continue to cry for a day or two. These little people have a hard time acclimating themselves with the school routine and finding their way around. In the school room every one of them want to talk all at the same tiirie. They can not stay seated in their chairs or sit still long at the time. Now since the first month is drav/ing to a close, you can notice improvement has been made. They are beginning to settle down to work and are ready for progress this school year. GRADE MOTHERS Mrs. Glover lira, C. D. Phillips Mrs, Carl H. V/alker Miss Batts Mrs, Easley.' Strickl and Mrs. T.
