UNCLE SAM
By Josophine Lann
Bailey School and
community have sent
many boys into Uncle
Sam’s armed forces in
the last few years.
Those men are serving
their coxmtry in the
most honorable v/ay.
To know that these
boys have gone into
the world not afraid,
but glad to fit~ht for
the freedom of this
country at any time,
brings a throb into
each heart of this
conmtinity;-’- This
v/e pay tribute to our
ovm brothers and
friends in UNCLE SiM.I'S
forces,
WHY FIGHT?
V/hy help others start a fight
V/hen they forgot us by night.
Lot us stay out of v;ar
And have peace for evermore.
All they want is a crack at us;'
They know just how to start a fuss
After many American ships are suhlc.
They'll say America has no spunk.
Europe is many 'thousand miles av/ay;
No part in their fighting should v/e play,
Por if we fight, we may get boat;
TliQn-undor.. Hitler v;e must eat.
