Benvenue girls won 35 --28. Benvenue boys quelled the Bailey High quin tet 20—18. An unfortunate, un called for, hair pul ling took place during the girls’ game. SPaiNG HOPE DE FEATS aAlLEY Bailey, Jan. 27 Spring Hope High de feated Bailey in a double-header last eve ning. The games v/ero a rough and tumble af fair, Spring Hope win ning both, E. Baines led the winners ^vith 18 points in the girls* game and Estella Eatman sacked up 15 points for the local cagers. The fin al score was 31--20, In the second game Bailey’s boys trailed with a score of 31-19. Bass scored 15 points for the Spring Hope Quints, and John C. Pinch scored 15 points for the losers. Bailey traveled to Coopers for a game Friday evening . The girls* game was called off in the closing minutes of the first quarter. The score v/as 8--1 in favor of Coopers v/hen the game was stopped. Both teams scored most of their points in the first half, for only tv/o points were scored after the half time. H. Perry made 13 points for Bailey while Manager J. The game went nip and tuck all the way, but Garner came out with a two point lead. Estelle Eatman and Rachel Jones scor ed 11 points each for Bailey,The final score v/as 27—25. In the boys'game with Knightdaje all went well for Bailey, for their team came off the court with a four point margin, L. Bis- sotte put in 12. points for the winners, V/hen the closing whistle blew, the score was 32 -28 in favor of Bai ley. ' School Team Vs. Town Team Bailey, Jan. 21— The Bailey High School team defeated thb Town team in clash here last evening. The score went nock and nock until the last quarter when the school came from be hind to t^iko the load and the victory. The fino.l score v/as 19--16 in favor of the schooL M. Lev/is v/as high scorer for the school scoring 8 points. Mae- bollo Finch led the losors by sacking up 10 points.
