GREEN BUS
Wait a minute.
Green Bus,
Slow down.
Stop I
I will climb
Your winding stair
And ride
On top.
Along the busy river.
Down the Avenue,
Any day I like to take
A trip with you.

Dr. Tippett
Visits Us
The fourth and sixth
grades had a good time
when Dr, James S. Tip
pett visited us. He
writes stories and
poems for boys and
girls, and'.he recited
a number of his poems
for us. Some of them:
"Green Bus", "Shi" "A
liVorld to Know",and "My
Dog", He told us he
made one hundred dolr
lars on "Green Bus",
Today v/e received a
letter from him v/ith
some of these poems.
He promised to come
back to see us, and he
asked us to write some
poems for him, "Green
Bus" is the poem we
liked best.
