A short talk stressing the farmers' part in this present crisis by Ricl> ard Stott v/as followed by a short musical program. The mooting was closed in regular order by tho presi dent, Horace High* Future Farmers hiOLD Initiation Freshmen taking agri culture bocome full pledged members of tho P. P. A. after having come through tho initi ation ceremony. As usual the initi ation creates fun for ♦ all. Following the cere mony all members enjoy a woinor roast. BAILtY CHAPTER. BUYS STAMPS REGULAR North Carolina Future Farmers rank second in the United States in buying v/ar bonds and stamps* Tho Bailey Chapter, as one of North Caro lina’s F.P^A. organi zations, has done its part by purchasing stamps and bonds 100 per cont, Tho method adopted last yoar v/horeby tho agricultur al advisor sold stamps and bonds to tho stu dents is continued this year. To roach the goal of 100 per cont tho chap ter requires each mem ber to buy a v/ar bond or stamp each weok or month. By the ond of 1942 Future Farmers desire to place North Caro lina at the head of the sales mado by tho states * Federation Meets At Spring Hope Tho First business session of the year meeting at Spring Hope V/odnosday, Nov. 4, a- dopts a plan of v/ork mapped out for tho yoar by boys and their advisors. After tho mooting tho Spring Hope Chap ter served a supper of barbocuo, potatoes, slaw, cornbroad, and coffoo. The delegates from Bailey were Horace High, Louis Bissotto, Richard Stott and Mr# Tapp, advisor. The Bailey ' Chapter will bo host to tho federation next month.
