November 13. 1942 Seniors Colleci Most Pounds In Scrap Drive Scrap drive,as far as Nash Coxirity contest is concerned, ends v/ith Nashville School lead ing all. other schools, Bailey School secxored 22,000 pounds, , Lassiter's eleventh and twelth grades, securing 7,179 pounds, leads in the number of pounds gath ered by any one room. Leading in the elemen tary department is the seventh grade with 4, 883 pounds, and in the primary department. Miss Harriett Batts’ room v;ith 1,204 pounds. Sarah Morgan Farmer, bringing the most iron for any individual,., will receive a prize. Although the county contest is over, stu dents are urged to coj> tihue gathering scraps Those bringing 100 pounds are still eli gible for a free movie ticket.
