Christmas program this week. Several children have recitations and we are learning new songs. Every child has a part in the program. We want every mother and father to bring their child and help them enjoy the program. Marie Brantley Second Grade CLASS ENJOYS TWO THANKSQVINGS DAYS Did you know Thanks giving Day_ came tv/ice this year? Well it did for us. We thank our grade- mother s and Mrs, Co- zart for our Thanks giving Party Wednesday and our parents for the Thanksgiving Din ner on Thursday. 1st and 2nd .Grades Grade Mothers Viiit Class Our Grademothers came to see us Thursday af ternoon. They brought us apples, oranges, and grapes. We all enjoyed it so much. Third Grade IMPRCVEMENTS MADE IN OUR ROOM Donald Barnes and Earl Manning brought tv;o gourds, Mr. Tapp cut them so we could plant flowers in them. Miss Thompson bought us some paint and v;e painted the gourds and a fev/ jars red. Wo had two orange crates. Owen brought us another. We put the three together and painted them, How we have a nice cabinet for our supplies. Our' table was too long, Mr. Walker cut it off for us and wo painted it, Dickie Stallings Third Grade CLAS^ CQLLECTS TIN CANS Ov/cn Strickland loads our class in collect ing old tin'cans for Uncle Sam, J, C, Bis- setto and P, D. We v/alked to the drugstore and \7ore served popsicles,' Second ' Grade I y?- Gade Mother Returns rrom Hospital The pupils in Miss Batts' room are happy to learn that Mrs, C. D, Phillips, their grade mother, was able to bo moved from the hospital to her home Monday, Nov, 30. WINKIE WAS FOUND Lamar found a kitten in a ditch The kit ten was hungry and hurt, so Lamar brought him to school, Sammy found a box for him, I Fanny Lou gave him I some 'of her milk to drink, After the class de cided to keep the kit ten, they named it Winkie, 1/Viiikie will be- cared fo^ by Sammy and;'Max while wo are away Christmas, Miss Batts* ’ '.Room THIRD C5RADE ENJOYED PARTY Gone Pinch had a birthday party Priday, His mother invited his classmates to help him enjoy it. After being served ice cream and cake, the children re turned to their class room.
