Not one but several mys teries are uncovered as the story advances. The heroine is r^eal I You are able to feel her emotions as strong ly as if they were your own. JANE EYRE is v/ritten in the i'irst person singular. Because of this you feel as though the heroine were talking to you* Throughout the book the authoress has a pleasing v/ay of speak ing directly to you, "Reader, do you know as I do, what terror those cold people can put into the ice of their questions?" in-_ quires Jane Eyre, v/hen a very stern, reserved man asked her a ques tion. Girls especially should read JANE EYRE, It is humane. Romance mixed in with robbery and trickery makes t'he book excit ing and thrilling, al though some incidents make you chill with horror.
