TJnvfimber 12^ 1943 bailey bugle FIRST THANKSGIVING On a cold, cold winter day We came from Holland to America to stay. The Indians helped us to plant our maize; So we could celebrate our Thanlcsgiving day. The winter was snowy, freezing, and cold. Away to church on Sun day we stole. We thanked God for the corn we raised; So that wo would have plenty alv/ays. Turkeys v/ere plentyful in this land; So we always had gion and big turkey at hand. Drinks bought by the boys and cakes and sandwiches furnished by the girls were served, I^r, Kermit Lev;is, the Bailey senior local leader, and Mrs, .Lewis attended the party.
