January 10. 1944 N3sh Count y ‘s L3st Frontier Anyone living around Balloy has likely heard of a little v;ooded section called the Gall Berry. This section has ‘been joked about, talked about, cussed and discussed so much that I decided to write this article about it. It is called the Gall Berry because long ago people hunt ing hucklo-berries would come across a berry resembling the huckle-berry, but very bitter. "They're bit ter as the gall," they would say and thus the name Gall Berry. T ho c oramun i t y is famed for its ignor ance and back-in-thc- v/oods location. But I sec no reason for this belief; the Gall Berry is just as civilized as any other' rural com munity and should be recognized as such. |.D, SAilEY 8UGU Page 10 liAOS TO GRfEN POND Three boys with noth- i people of the neighbor ing more; to ar.mso theri- ! hood* solves thrai proposing a name f or «IrB, P .
