Fobruar;,^ II, 1944 Pa;:c 25 PRIMARY DtPARTMENT PUPILS STUDY CARE OF TEETH Prom the study of Jim my Chev/, a dental health book brought to school by Shirley Y/ebb, the pupils in the first and second grades learned about Four Big Helps Y/hich tells them hov; to take care of their teeth. These Four Big Helps are: Right Poods, Chevying Exercise, Clean Teeth, and youri Dentist, By making vise of these Pour Big Helps the pu-| pils resolved to have! better teeth in the| future» Girls Give Fruit Party The second grade girls, after reading about a party decided to give one. They brought oranges, apples,, and nuts to school. They cleaned and decorated the table. They made plates out of paper, Helen Jean McKecl and Wanda High wore cute little serving aprons and very gracefully did the serving. Each one of the girls ex pressed themselves as having a very good time. Grade Mother Moves The second grade pu pils regret very much the loss of their grade mother, Mrs. C. D. Phil' lips, who has recently moved to Mt. Pleasant. Ivlrs. Phillips visited the grade several times and served the pupils with fruits and candy. The second grSde en joyed having I.irs.' Phil lips for their grade mother and wish to ex press appreciation for wnat she has done for thorn this year* BOYS GIVE PAR.TY second gradb slighted girls had The boys felt because the not invited then to ■their Fruit Party, They, therefore, de cided to give a party. The boys brought oranges, cakes, cand^ and nuts to school. They sat around 'the table which they had decorated. They proved to be good citizens by using good table manners. Mr. Strick land is the county Sanitary Inspector, They secned to bo well impressed with our school.
