They are now v/aiting for their calls, James and Delton going to the army; Har land and Sammy, to the Navy. Elsie Mae Pace, a graduate of Bailey in ’42, is a secretary in Durham. Estella Eatman, now at Newark, Delaware, is connected with the navy but is not a WAVE; she is an inspector there, Percy Lee Liles, grad uate of 1938, is in the Naval Air ■ Corps, stationed at Pensacola, Florida. First Lieuten ant Ray Liles, gradu ate of 1936, is aide to a Genercl :.nd is sta tioned at San Diego, California. G. H. Bernes, an al- munus of '40, who is stationed at camp Hook er, Alabama, visited the school recently. Louise Brantley, 1940, has received her nur se ^s diploma and is •nursing at Duke Hos- pi tal, Bella Pace former graduate of Bailey high will graduate at Christmas at Atlantic Christian College. LETTER FROM LAST YEARS BUSINESS .MANAGER Dear Staffs I received the last copy of the Briley Bugle, and it really was one of the most in teresting ones I have seen yet. •i^ven though you have almost an entirely nev; staff, there arc im provements in the paper since last year, especially in the ads. It is really wonder ful to receive a paper that I had a part in v/hen I was in high school and to knov; that the students left be hind are trying tc make the paper bettor monthly.
