March 17. 1944 BAILEY BUGLE Pa/re 21 GRAMMAR GRADE NEWS Class Studies Safety VVe have been studying Safety in Miss Lamm's fifth grade. Safety is not a large v^ord, but an important word, V7e have some safety pic tures in our room that we have studied. I think everyone should study this topic. The follov/ing sen tences are some safety rules. 1. Obey the traffic off icer. 2. Cross the street only at corners. 3. Stop, look, and listen before cross ing a railroad. 4. vVhen riding a bi cycle obey tho traffic rules of an auto. 5. Walk to left facing traffic. 6. Never run out in the street to get a ball before you look both ways. 7. Do not ride child ren on the handle a bicycle a 8. Vvait \intil the bus stops getting on bar of Vvait school before or off. The next morn*’ ing the v/orm had spun a cocoon and wrapped it in leaves. The children began col lecting worms. Frost came and they began to collect cocoons. They now have a dis play of 119 cocoons and are eagerly av/ait- ing the moths, MISS LAMM: ’’Give me the formula for a good speech. John?"
