Joy comes from having com pleted a job v/.ell. from having attained a goal sot eleven years ago, from having persevered to the finish, from having had a v/ide association with both students and teachers. Regret cones from having to leave old friends and ac quaintances from having to pull away from the social life and the activities of the school, from hav ing to "grow up" and start out on one's ov/n. YOUNG MEN During these times of stress and strain one ■ hardly knovirs what, to • say to a graduating class* To the young men, many of v/hom the army vjill soon Qall, may you serve . your country and yoursfelves Vvcell. May you bo a crcdit to your school and may your conduct rcflcct nothing -but honor upon your name. May you bo brought safely through this entirely new expor- ionco, whole in mind. in . spirit, and in body. To those of you who do not get the call, find a place in the world' in which you can serve. To all of yDu, ma^/ I urge that you continue your schooling whenever and wherever possible, YOUITG LADIES To the young ladies of the class. there are thousands upon thousands of calls for servico today. Keep, uppermost in your ninds your continued education. Wherever possible continue your schooling until you have prepared your selves for lives which will bo useful and beautiful. To those of you v/ho will find it impossible to at tend college, find your place in other f^iolds of activity ^^nd do the very best job you !xva capable of doing.
