LOU GLENN BRANTLEY W hy I LikeBeiley One of the things ^that impressed me when I first cane to Bailey v/as the friendliness of the people towards new comers. Sev eral of the girls came around to see me, took me to basketball practices, to the show, and invited me to parties. Such acts of friendliness tend to make one feel mere at home. Next to leaving old friends, I think entering a new scho'-. l is one of the v;orst phases about moving. But enrolling in Bailey Hchocl wasn't so bud after all. I found the’ teachers to be kind and willing to help me catch up with the classes in which I happen-’ od to be behind, I am delighted that Bai ley school has a cafeteric.. In the school from v/hich I came I had to carry my ovm lunch, and I soon realized that sandv/iches are very unappetizing when it is necessary to oat them every day. I am also glad that Bailey has a gymna- siui,!. In Swopsonvillc the auditorium had to ser'''’'i as ^ ^ rather unsatis- FOK That Special Oc ca s i Of I GIVE HER A COKSAGE factory arrangement. Most of all I think the school should be proud of the BAILEY BUGLE. A school paper me^ns so much to the entire student body in that it gives all students an opportunity to express themselves. > These are only a few of the teasons why I like Bailey, but they are per haps the first impressions a newcomer to our town would have. Now that I have entered the school a-nd made new friends,! feel perfectly at home. Evelyn Poole SPECIAL .OCCASION C/f\j^;:i^fkOwEKS REPRESE OP Avenue Gardens WILSON NX, MRS.WAGHIFFIN BAILEY, N.C.
