UPPER TEN CLIQUE
Yes, it*s true, A new so
cial scale has been set
for this year.
Last year's social stand
ing in high school depend
ed on a case of appendi
citis.
It appears that "to rate"
this year one must have &
tonsil or adenoid oper
ation.
Within the first three
weeks of school l&rie
Williams, Isaac Medlin,
Billy Murray, and I.5ary
Evelyn Glover had their
tonsils removed, Betty
Doris Sanders stepped a
little higher by having a
tonsil and adenoid oper
ation, \/illiam Glover
tried to be listed in the
social register by having
an abscessed throat. Don’t
give up hope, William, be
cause the doctor says that
if you have further throat
trouble you vjill have to
have your tonsils removed.
From all reports the
people of the community
are trying to get in the
social ring too,
