The basic point of land scaping, according to Llr. Harris is simplicity, A simple layout should con sist of a green lawn and Turell-balanced shrubbery affording a background. SUGCTSTIONS Pecans and dogvreeds were the trees most stressed for backgrounds. As a cover for garages or other outdoor buildings, ivy was suggested as a tender, green, crispness the year round. To be enjoyed, only few perennials should be at tempted, further stated Ivir. Harris. In these, colors should be grouped to bring out the luster in each group* That a yard should never be cluttered with walks or drives, an error that often spoils the en tire layout, was demonstra ted.
