Jean Pace's latest ad mission is that she "knows how to smooch,” She covers up by saying, "I 1 I m mean I know how to smell smooch; no no, spell smooch." Rosamond Brantley, though tom-boyish and mischievous, may turn out ' to be a very "sweet” young lady, Betty Jean Lamm takes great interest in sewing. Maybe some day she will be a real seamstress, L.M.P. CLUB MEMBERS PLACE ORDERS FOR EMBLEMS Since the FHA club is af filiated with the State and the National Future Home Makers of America, the members had the privi lege of 'ordering pins, bracelets, and "T" shirts with the official club em blem on them. The pins and bracelets are of different prices ao cording to the difference in the material. The mem bers had a choice of ster ling silver, rolled gold plate, or 10 K gold. Dorothy Ana Hooker order ed a "T" shirt; Elizabeth' Glover and Pauline Johnson, bracelets; Maxine Medlin and Octavia Beard, pins; and Ruth Farmer, a pen and guard. * MAKE IT OVER ^ ORDO WITH OUT Se wing Looking here and looking there. Girls are sewing every where ; • • Skirts, blouses, dresses, and such; For mo right now it's just too much. I don't know why I can't do it too. This fact makes me feel so blue. All I do is cut and baste. Then take the measurement of someone's waist. If I could sit and sew all day, I be.t I'd learn how any way. I'd show the folks what I could do. It night take time, but I'd pull through. Clubs'To Give Jo i ifothers and fathers of the FHA, FFA, and home ec. students are to be given a Mother-Daughter-Father- Son banquet in the club house, December 17, Other honored guest will be Miss Catherine Dennis, State Supervisor, and Mrs. Will Frances Sanders, Club Advi ser. Committees were appointed at the last meeting, Joyce n t. Ba n q Lie t Brantley and Elizabeth Glover compose the invita tion committee; Edyth High and Margio Glover, decora tion committee; Barbara Farmer and Octavia Beard, arrangement; Evelyn Poole and Jackie Lois Edwards; program; and Patsy Lamm, Romaine Edwards, and Max ine Medlin, finance. The ninth grade will serve, Lena Mae Price •DEPT.OWNS NEW STOVE For the benefit of the home ec, department, a new Wcstinghouse electric stove was bought by the county. A contract provides for the replacing of the stove rith a newer model each year for five years with out any extra cost.
