The preeminent charsicter was Julia, daughter of naturalized Norv;egian parents. Long hours and hard v/ork on the farm ii^fluenced her to elope vjith Rob, a Yan kee schoolmate, v/ho she believed would make her life easier. Fidnight ar rived and she had stealth ily slipped from the house ro join Rob. Just as the class finished —reading aloud "Then a figure came out into the road—a woman-- Julia 1 ’He took her in his arms as she came panting up to him. 'Rob 1- — 'Julyie !•" — so real was the story that when a gun vjent-bang just outside the eleventh grade English classroom, for a second, the class thought Julia's father had shot Rob, B. Members of the Baptist Fiissionary Society will serve a turlrey supper to night from six to eight o' clock at the Coniraunity Club House to raise money for the building fund. Two hundred plates will be served to all with tick ets. The number of plates is limited because of the nvimber in the Missionary Society. Plates will be served from six to eight o’clock for the benefit of those who v^ish to come early or late. The proceeds v;ill be add ed to the building fund of the Baptist Church.
