The cost of the trip^ including hotel bills, meals, railroad faro, con vention dues, and sight seeing, is estimated at $60. PART EXPENSES PAID By using the |,58 netted from the Coronation Cere mony given in October plus $100 of the 1,200 in the BUGLE treasury, each mem ber will have his bill re duced ^15 to $20. ' The remaining amount is to be furnished by each' individual. Money for purchasing a new chair, curtains, maga zine rack, dressing table coverings, mirror, and bed covering, will come from the general school fund. If money is available, the members of the council v’i 11 paint the room. The council with the help of Miss Rachel Bissette, teacher sponsor, cleaned the room. Each month. ha-eafter, it will be kept in order by a designated member of the council. "The need is very great for a first aid room during the winter months v/hen so many children are sick with colds," is the opinion expressed by Miss Bissette, In the near future the council hopes to improve the girls' toilet by hang ing curtains, adding a dressing table,- and assum ing the responsibility of keeping both boys' and girls’ toilets clean. Cleanup day for the school, January 15, is being spon sored by the BUGLE staff. This is the first day of the second semester. Objectives for the day-- student activities--are to clet.n off top and inside of lockers, move seats out of hall, give each room a gen eral spring cleaning, ar range books and magazines in neat order in library and hall racks, clear the stage of unnecessary junk, scour and fumigate bath rooms, and clean yards. pooM .cle/^.nii;g Spring clearing the rooms will entail cleaning walls and- furniture, placing bright and cheerful pic tures on the v/alls, secur ing potted plants, or for the rooms on the north side, artificial flowers--every- thing that will add to beauty, cleanliness, and See CLK/'i.NUP^page 2 0.8EARD KEEPS COLUMN Octavia Begird, former journalism student, con tinues to v/rite Susie Bab- bles for the BUGLE^ In order to get in the re quired subjects for gradua tion, Octavia is unable to take journalism. She de sires, however, to continue the column originated by her last year. "I take special interest in what students do and say", declares Octavia, This is another of her main reasons for liking to write Susie Babbles.
