It is hoped that after this day’s v;ork is done the students will take pride in keeping the school and grounds clean all the time. FUTURE E,!I-R0VEI.3BNTS Other improvements advo cated for the near future, but that v/ill require the support of the PTA, the Red Cross Council, the Athletic Association, and the county, include patch ing plaster, cleaning cur tains on the stage, estab lishing a first aid room, filling holes on school ground, repairing the trophy case, trimming trees and shrubbery, in stalling a toilet in the gym, planning an art gal lery for the front en trance of the hall, paint ing walls light colors to provide more light, con verting music room into powder room, building ce ment drive,putting lights in all rooms, and buying curtains for girls’ bath room. The staff feels that a beginning can be started now, and when plans are completed, they v/ill add to the comfort and appear ance of the building and grounds. Plans for the general cleanup is in keeping with the Health Program of North Carolina Finding no v/elcome in any classroom in high school, a nev7 student gave up his attempts to become enrol led in Bailey High School. After follov/ing Billy Murray around all the morn ing and having found no welcome in Billy's classes, this student decided to join the 9th grade. Immedi ately after the lunch bell rang, he followed the 9th graders to their math class. Miss Edith Farmer, thinking him unprepared for her math class, sent him forlornly on his way. At the end of the period, the boys, accompanied by said student, went to the agriculture building for their next class. There, the same procedure follow ed. After he was put out, I.&*.
