Greeting us as ws enter the main door are pictures- the beginning of an art gallery for the front hall- and different awards and trophies von by the stu dents of Bailey High School. In Mrs. Laurine Lassiter's commercial and geography departments and Miss Edith Farmer’s math classroom, the class work is enliven ed by many potted plants, mounted maps, posters, and pictures of artyping, geo graphical scenes, and geo metric figui'es. Looking down upon u-s all during the day in Mrs. Howard Farmer's English portraits American on color- classroom are of English and authors mounted ful sreen paper and sur rounded by famous quota tions from Shakespeare and others. Displayed on the bulletin board are covers, representing the general types of books for eleven th and twelfth grade Eng lish students to read, books of fiction, bio graphy, travel, and nature. Potted plants also add to the color and life of the English class. The home economics de partment has added bulle tins and furnishings con cerning housekeeping and other home economics studies. In the library a .beauti ful arrangement of book covers is displayed on the bulletin board. UPSTAIRS HALL By cleaning the lockers of unnecessary junk, clean ing light fixtures, and installing bulbs, the hall committee has made it pos sible to have more light in the halls. Seats of the auditorium were polished along rith the necessary cleaning of stage and dressing rooms. Vistors as well as stu dents who attend our bas ketball games will appre ciate the work that has been done in the gymna sium and the dressing rooms.
