As a source of healthful
recreation, the Business
Men’s Club of Bcdley have
built a tennis court
across the street from the
Methodist Church. A men-
borship fee of $10 en
titles any member to use
the court.
Members of the tennis
club, their guests, and
students whose parents are
members are allowed to use
the court except when the
grounds are too wet for
playing.
W, R. Parsons,prominent
citizen of the Bailey com
munity, has directed the
construction of the court.

"V/e are supposed to get
another nevj bus sometime
this year, but I don’t
know when," states M. W«
Weaver, principal. "Two of
the buses are in poor con
dition but the others are
fair. During the summer
tiivo buses v/ere repainted".
IHT. PLEASANT
In previous years one
school bus has been stop
ping at MT.Pleasant to pro
vide transportation for
those students, but nov/
all buses come directly in
to Bailey. This eliminates
the necessity of making
second loads at Bailey.
Nu mberO f Subject s Cu t
ByDivisionOr Freshmen
"Thirteen of the forty-
two high school class per
iods each day are devoted
to the teaching of the two
sections of the ninth gra
de," states M. Yi. YVeaver,
principal. "This, and the
fact that we have more stu
dents and the same number
of teachers, is causing
the shortage of subjects
available."
As a result of the in
creased number of periods
demanded by the ninth
grade, many juniors and
seniors have found it im
possible to take some of
the subjects they prefer.
In these cases students
ncedihg units to graduate
are taking subjects of
tl'-sir second choice.
