Among the insects put in alcohol were the praying mantis, snails, cater-' pil3ars, "vn'iting"' spiders, and the blue crab. From the study of insects the students have learned that one shouldn't be afraid of them, and by watching them one can see some of their interesting habits, Since the relics of ancient Egypt interested the students so much, they decided to make some similar to those of ancient craft. The out comes were dried mud bricks, clay vessels, and v/riting tablets. To make the sphinx/n'un- mies, boats, wins, and v/riting pads, they used modeling clay, ,boys made shadoofs like those used along the Nile to irrigate the fields * , , , The students also made scrolls and collected pictures for the bull«;tlh. board.
