A. students, Lois Jean Medlin consented to be host to 33 home econom ics girls with a party in her home. The homemakers were served punch, cup cakes, a variety of mints, a cock tail mixture of nuts, and potato chips. "Poor Kitty", "Hov: Do You Like Your Neighbor", and "Rhythm" were among the games played, Mrs. George Thigpen, a chapter mother, enter tained the girls with some old fashioned love songs which she played on the piano. Judy Finch, Mary Ann Edwa rds, and Jan Perry were in charge of the games. Club Completes Book F. H, A. Yearbooks, por traying chapter activities and committees, have been completed. The Yearbook contains officers, chapter mothers, flower, motto, creed, com mittees, and programs. The book will inform the faculty and members more about the purpose of the club. The Yearbook committee, under the supervision of Mrs. Frances Rouse, was composed of Lois Thigpen, Doris Murray, Catherine Brown, Margaret Glover, Kay Ferrell, Mary Lou Lamm, Mary Ann Miller, Jackie Lamm, Elda Rae Bailey, Shirley Brantley, Barbara Nell Rhodes, Pansy Murray, and Barbara Nell Lamm» Bailey Gains Doctor; Dr. John GibSon, Jc,, Bailey's new medical doc tor, v/ho begins his prac tice here after eleven years of experience, entered his son John in Mrs. Jake Wright's fourth prade last week. Dr. Gibson, who pre viously practiced in Tazewell County, Virginia, and whose home town . is Birmingham, Alabama, has stuoiea extensively in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, specializing in pulmonary diseases. Beginning a ten years* course of medical study, he attended preparatory school in Lynchburg, Virginia, follov;ed by prc- medical vrork at the University of Scranton in bcranton, Pennsylvania, and further schooling at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Kc also took a six months post-graduate study of surgery in oci'anton. Dr. Gibson practiced indus trial and general medicine in the coal fields of Virginia. In the Far View. State Hospital of Penn sylvania he studied neural psychiatry. Eight years and nine months of post- Son Enters 6. H. S. graduate work was com pleted in the State Health Departments of Pennsyl vania, *viaryland, and Virginia by Dr. Gibson. Dr. and Mrs, Gibson and family are now living with ivirs. A.
