Bailey Bugle Bailey, North Carolina. January, 19$1 General Comments Page 10 M. W. Weaver Moving .time this year has taken a toll in the ele mentary grades of our school. As of today mem bership in grades 1-8 is 361, This represents a drop of 26 students from- an enrollment . of 387* Other students may enter but there seems no possi bility of getting member ship up tb the pre-Christ mas level. On the basis of present membership, loss ff a teacher in the grade® is inevitable. The recent booing during basketball games and dis cussions ydth the referees after the games' does not show the high quality of sportsmanship desired and usually demonstrated at Wilson’s Music Center Fo r The Latest Hit T unes RFCQRD PLAYE R S JfJf'lllltthUMl & O & Wilson. North Car. Bailey, All followers of our teams are asked to ex-> hibit the- highest .quality of sportsmanship possible; Midterm ■ has passed* You have received your report cards. They tell you how you have done during the first half of the year» Any students needing to in^ prove should begin now to pick up the loose ends and. have passing grades on all subjects at the end of the: year. Too many of our high school students seem to lack purpose. Try to rea lize now what it will mean to you later if you con tinue to "dilly-dally" and in so doing repeatedly fail to reach the goal. Drifting very seldom gets anyone anywhere* Ii^ congratulations to the boys on the fine way they usually cooperate in keep ing their rest room clean. There are some evidences of dirt on the doors and walls but that can prob ably be expected with so mainy students going in and out. Some of the classrooms are building up enviable records on attendance. For instance, at this time Miss Sessom's room has had perfect attendance for seven consecutive days. Let's have every room strive to maintain , 95$ attendance for the rest of the year. ■ Ho me-Cooked Meals Specielties bridge""’ BANQUETS PRIVATE PARTIES TASTY ICE CREAM SUNDAES ( MILK SHAKES ,'' • SANDVraCHES--^-" Collie's Cafe Phone ''3 76 !
