An honest life can not be led when there are Marimba Player Gives • Program For School Bailey High School stu dents were entertained last week in the audito rium by J.ir, Eddie Janns, a Marimba Player from Bos ton, Massachusetts, Ifir, Janns set up the Mar-- imba, after his audience assembled, in order to let each person see him con struct this musical instru ment, He then explained about the cost, the materi als, the contrast of the Marimba and a Piano, He further explained that it is used for South Amercia and classical music, VJhen answering questions' by the audience, Ivlr, Janns said, "Although I have been playing the IJarimba 23 years, I am still learn ing something nev7 each day, I v^as a drummer before I learned to play the Lar- Imba, In playing the liar- imba many types of hammers can be used, although I use only six." According to Mr. Janns the Marimba is not well known because it is a problem to transport from place to place. 1/ir, Janns is touring all the Southeastern states. eveoi Pet.
