Bailey Bugle, Bailey, North Carolina, February, 19$1 Page 6 EEA's Honor Fathers at Banquet Each member of the local chapter of the Future Far mers of America honored his father at the annual Father-Son Banquet, Janu ary 31> at the agriculture building. Presidins officers were Theron Sanders, presidentj Eldred Perry, vice-presi dent; Ed Pace, secretary; Franlclin Brovm, treasurer; Tomy Glover, reporter; and J.H. ¥ells, advisor. Honored guests, besides the fathers were F. U. V[olfe and Ernest Vdnstead, of I'iiddlesex; Hike Griffiii, Willis Farmer, J, S, Collie, Leamon Tapp, Burley Dunn, Julian Finch, I. H. House, E, T. Rouse, 2t Qc L, Edvrards, Robert FEA!s Buitd Varied Items In Shop Class V .A Required shop work has produced, so far this year, many useiXil articles for the farm and home. Several boys are doing outstanding jobs; all are making some vrorth-while projects: Owen Strickland-cedar chest C, D, Mullen-sink cabinet }.Ir. 'Jells-corner cabinet Earl Lfanning-bed table George Pittman, Ronald Bissette-sun porch for chicken brooder. Others are building book cases and working on the school’s bicycle racks. Griffin, Y/illard Meacomes, and M, ’’•T, Y/eaver, all of Bailey, Tommy Glover made a brief speech welcoming the fa thers, and Rufus Beard welcomed the guests, Leamon Tapp, a former agriculture teacher of Bailey, gave the response for the guests. The meal, consisting of barbecue, brunswick stew, slaw, potatoes, cornbread, and coffee, was served by several or the local Fu ture Homemakers of America. The girls that served were given a box of candy by the chapter, r v.-,vvr"A'Vw^y The local F, F, A chap ter received a banner for Field Day at a recent Fed eration meeting. This next Federation con test in cattle judging is to be held in April, The place has not been decided.
