One poem the class likes is THE BLUE JAY A noisy blue jay in the tree Outside my window screamed at me, "Get up^ get up," the blue jay said. "Get uo, get ud, you sleepyhead!" "All right," I said to the noisy jay. "I'm getting ut>, away." "Get UD,"‘ he again and fled To waken others , Now go screamed still in bed. The Flowers By Janet Weaver Third Grade As I was going along one day Do you know what I met along the way? Some flowers tripping all along; They seemed to be singing a song. The flowers were out with all the beast. They seemed to be nicer than a feast. The flowers were triooing along; They seemed to be singing a song. The federal government again donated eleven bas kets of aoples for the lunchroom’s use. Mrs. Clarence Parker's seventh grade has made a free hand drawing of an American history picture show. They started at the beginning of the book and have drawn a oicture of every important incident in the book. They plan their draw ing throughout the book. Several rooms have been shown the oictures. Girls Make Perfect Recoid For the oast two months three girls—Jean Brown, Jane Patterson, Margaret Earo—have attained per fect attendance.
